À propos de la recette

Ingrédients

- 2 cups peeled and sliced apples (McIntosh are our favorite)

- 1½ cups rolled oats

- ¾ cup whole wheat flour (can be substituted with almond flour)

- ½ cup brown sugar (can be substituted with coconut sugar. Add 1-2tsp maple syrup to mimic brown sugar's moisture)

- ½ cup butter, softened

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Préparation

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Spread the apple slices evenly in a buttered baking dish.

3. In a bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and vanilla.

4. Cut in the butter until the mixture becomes crumbly.

5. Sprinkle generously over the apples.

6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.

7. Serve warm, ideally with a drizzle of cream.
